Here is a current internship opportunity:

Intern as a social media specialist with Eskaton, the largest Sacramento area nonprofit serving seniors. Learn about:

  • Posting and commenting on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Instagram
  • Writing blog posts
  • Conducting online surveys
  • Managing online reputation
  • Purchasing online advertising
  • Developing videos for YouTube and Facebook
  • Writing and distributing press releases to local media
  • Conducting life biographies of seniors

Skills required:

  • Writing
  • Editing
  • File management
  • Comfortable interacting with people of different ages and disabilities

During your internship you will gain a solid understanding of Eskaton’s programs and services and how to communicate the organizational mission to online audiences. This internship will be customized to your area of study and allow you to utilize any skills you have in writing, photography, video, marketing and/or public relations. You can expect to walk away with practical, real world experience that you can use on your resume to help gain employment after graduation.
