Thank you, Anita, for recognizing how much residents enjoy socializing at breakfast in the café every day and allowing them to do so on a holiday when the café is normally closed.

"I am writing to let you know how much I appreciate Anita and the excellent work she does here at the Village. In fact, I don’t think she ever sits down. The one thing she did on Labor Day that was special to me was keeping the café open for breakfast when it was completely unplanned. On Saturday, she came up to the breakfast table and said, “I hadn’t planned on opening the café on Monday, but because you and your group enjoy sitting here together every morning, I’m going to open it just for you.” And she did. When I met her at lunch Monday to thank her, she said, “I did it because we here at Eskaton want to make everyone happy.” And to me, that was above and beyond the call of duty. So, hats off to her and your many employees who make the Village such a great place to live.
