Originally from Yokohama, Japan, Sumiko came to America in 1960. She is married and has one child. Throughout her time in the United States, she has lived in California, New Mexico, and Boston, Massachusetts, where she worked in the laundry business. She moved to Eskaton Hazel Shirley Manor 8 years ago. “I love it," says Sumiko. "Everything is close by and the people are nice too."
