The Great Place to Work Institute has honored Eskaton with certification as a Great Place to Work. Through the certification process, more than 1,250 employees were surveyed from across Eskaton’s locations. Great Place to Work, an independent research and consulting firm, evaluated more than 60 elements of team members’ experience on the job. These included employee pride in the organization’s community impact, belief that their work makes a difference, and feeling their work has special meaning. Rankings are based on employees’ experiences, no matter who they are or what they do.
Eskaton’s results revealed the highest scores from employees included being made to feel welcome; feeling good about the ways they contribute to the community; celebrating special events and having a deep sense of pride in working for the good of others.
“Eskaton’s culture is made up of our dedicated, compassionate employees and it is one of our ongoing focus areas to listen, engage and improve upon the employee experience. One specific example we implemented is rolling out the red carpet for every new employee, which has delighted and surprised new team members. Over the past several years, we have focused on enhancing wages, improving the on-boarding and retention experience and moved to a more frequent satisfaction survey process for employees, residents and families” says Todd Murch, CEO of Eskaton.
“We applaud Eskaton for seeking certification and releasing its employees’ feedback,” said Dr. Jacquelyn Kung, of Great Place to Work’s senior care affiliate Activated Insights. “These ratings measure its capacity to earn its own employees’ trust and create a great workplace for high performance.”
