As Maryhart suffered through hard times with losing her previous dog and being admitted to the hospital, she and her husband felt it was time to have someone else around.

She was able to adopt Happy from the pound, and ever since then, she hasn’t felt alone. As Maryhart voices, “Once you start talking to yourself, that’s when you know you better go get yourself a dog. Happy is my companion and baby, he makes me feel happy when times are tough; that’s why we gave him that name.” One thing that never gets old for Maryhart is when Happy waits for her at the entrance and then runs back and forth with a toy in his mouth due to his joy!
