We are living longer and attitudes about aging are starting to change. Life expectancy has improved dramatically over the past 20 years. In fact, not only are we living longer, but our senior population is more productive in retirement. Older adults are, and can be a blessing, not only to their families but to their communities as well. Every line and wrinkle comes with a myriad of life experiences and tells a story about the road we’ve traveled and the world in which we live.
In an effort to raise awareness as to the beauty of aging and appreciation for the elders in our community, Eskaton recently announced an exciting photo contest. Professionals and amateurs alike are encouraged to capture inspirational moments that help shape the way we think about the beauty of aging through uplifting images.
A first place award of $2,500, a second place award of $1,000 and six (6) honorable mention awards of $200 will go to the winners.
The contest runs through November 30, 2018.
Help us spread the word that “Age Is Beautiful” and change outdated and negative attitudes about getting older. Send us your best shot!
