Rewarding Career in Therapeutic Music

Elizabeth Proett began playing the harp professionally in the 1980s. Today, she is a certified music practitioner and can be found playing for Eskaton residents. Ten years ago Elizabeth learned the craft of playing music for healing and transition. "I wanted to do something a little more meaningful," she said.

Elizabeth plays every other week at the Eskaton Village Carmichael Care Center and Memory Care, as well as the Eskaton Village Roseville Memory Care. She can also be found at Eskaton Care Center Manzanita and Eskaton Care Center Fair Oaks. The majority of the time Elizabeth plays one-on-one in the residents' rooms to address individual needs. In memory care, she  also spends time in a group setting playing and singing familiar tunes. Thank you Elizabeth for your dedication.
