What Does Pride Mean to You? | Interview with Cynthia Driver

As we wrap up #PrideMonth, we'd like to highlight a few team members as they tell us what Pride means to them. To start off, we're highlighting Cynthia Driver, Associate Executive Director of Live Well at Home by Eskaton.

Cynthia

Q: What does Pride mean to you?

A: "To me, Pride is a bold and unapologetic celebration of who you authentically are. We come together to celebrate each individual and all of us together. It’s a reminder of those who fought, and still push forward so we have the opportunity to live openly and authentically."

Q: Why is celebrating Pride important for Eskaton?

A: "Representation and visibility for senior living at Pride moves the needle forward to create inclusive care environments for all aging individuals. Openly embracing our diverse family of employees and senior residents is a cause for celebration."

Q: What did you like most from your experience at Sacramento Pride?

A: "For me, it was everything before and surrounding the celebration. Both employees and residents were excited to participate and celebrate our LGBT community."
